But when reading labels, or asking at the parlor what goes into most frozen treats, you can be pretty sure you won’t like the answer. High fructose corn syrup, red 40 dye, a host of additives and chemicals you can’t even pronounce? No. Thank. You. No matter how “good” it tastes.
Thankfully, here in Seattle we have Parfait. It’s all-natural, organic, artisan ice cream made with love and local ingredients, served out of an ice cream truck. It’s delightful and magical all at once.

The truck parks in strategic locations like Mobile Chowdown at Seattle Center and the Queen Anne Farmer’s Market, so you don’t have to spend your time chasing it around the city. Just check out the website and find out their location for the day and you’re on your way.
With flavors like Fleur de Caramel, Northwest Hazelnut and Meyer Lemon Bar offered, I assure you, you’re in for a real treat. Plus, as berries and other Northwest fruits start hitting their peek, chef Adria Shimada will be blending her favorite fruits into mouth-watering sorbets (like the one pictured).
The most challenging part of the whole experience is picking a flavor, because they’re all so good. Thankfully, with Seattle’s summer having just (or maybe finally) arrived, you can keep coming back for more. With ingredients like milk from Fresh Breeze Organic Dairy farm, eggs from Stiebrs Farms, coffee from Caffè Fiorè, you’re not only treating yourself to some high-quality goodness, you’re helping the local economy. Plus, because their locations change daily, today could be the day they’re parked just up the street.
