Today’s workshop is How to Start a Food Business in San Francisco – An Orientation to La Cocina. You’ll learn the basics on how to get your own food business started, resources and how to apply for La Cocina’s incubator program.

What sort of heathen doesn’t enjoy a good art crawl? 6th Street becomes the site for 2 Blocks of Art, an evening that promises to seduce your eyes, ears and taste buds. Hop from photography and painting exhibits to live musical performances and group shows. Along the way, check out the neighborhood restaurant and bar specials, like Miss Saigon’s free appetizer with entrée or Club Six’s 2-for-1 well drinks and beer.

The 21st Annual Potrero Hill Festival kicks off today with a warm Southern welcome. The California Culinary Academy will cater a New Orleans-style brunch from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. with lively Dixieland tunes. Afterwards, walk off the meal at the family-friendly festival, which will feature two live performance stages, food from the neighborhood’s favorite restaurants and more than 80 local artists and vendors.
