The mother-daughter team of Gretchen and Deanna Hartrick opened The Cupcake Daily in Talent as a way to share their love of baking sweets and experimenting with fun flavors, and they’re doing a mighty fine job! To say they just make cupcakes is an understatement of the highest degree. These are delectable creations fit for the most discerning of dessert enthusiasts. They say their goal is to make each of their cupcakes an event, an experience that takes each customer on an exotic little journey deep into the senses. After tasting a few, we have to agree that a cupcake really can do all this and more.
These divine little cakes come in four sizes, from the cleverly named bite-sized A-cups, to the big enough to share D-cups. The cupcakes, frostings and fillings are all made from scratch with many all-natural and organic ingredients. They grow and use many of their own herbs, and use local fruits, honey and eggs too. There are also gluten-free and sugar-free options.

Some of their daily rotating specialty cupcakes are jaw-dropping—Maple Bacon, White Chocolate Strawberry, Chocolate Covered Cherry, Peach Chardonnay, Blueberry Lemon Poppyseed, Lavender Mint -- there are so many, we could go on and on! Each day of the week boasts a fun cupcake flavor theme—Cocktail Friday features cocktail inspired delights like mojito, margarita, pomegranate martini and rum and coke cupcakes, while Wine Wednesday features amazing creations like Chocolate Port filled with red wine ricotta and Strawberry Rose’ featuring local Del Rio Vineyard’s Rose Jolee. You can even build your own cupcakes too by choosing your own cake, filling, frosting, and topping.
They also serve a small assortment of breakfast options and offer a Daily Cup or Wrap (a layered dish including black beans, rice, cheese, avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, green onions, red cabbage, black olives, sour cream, and special sauce). And they serve coffee, espresso, and a fabulous assortment of teas to complement their cakes.
Each month employees dedicate all their tips to a local cause or charity. CASA of Jackson County is the chosen one for the month of September. Head on down and get yourself an amazing treat while helping out a local cause. You can track their daily specials, deliveries, and deals through their Facebook or Twitter pages.
