Ingredients
1 packet of Pho Bo instant noodles with seasoning packet (recommended brand: Vifon)
1 packet of Pho Bo instant noodles with seasoning packet (recommended brand: Vifon)
3-4 bo vien (prepackaged beef balls with tendon, availalbe at most Asian markets)
1 cup beef broth
1 1/2 cups water
A few thin slices of red or white onion
1/4 wedge of lime
A few springs of cilantro, mint, basil and mung bean sprouts for garnish (optional)
Hot sauce (recommended brand: Sriracha), optional
Black pepper
Directions
Bring beef broth and water to boil in a small pot, adjusting broth level to your preference. Add seasoning pack and beef balls, and lower heat to a simmer for a couple minutes. Add noodles and let cook for approximately 3-4 minutes. Transfer your noodle soup into a wide-mouthed bowl. Give it a squeeze of lime, a sprinkle of black pepper, and garnish with onion and whichever herbs you prefer. Add hot sauce for an extra kick! Serve immediately. Serves one.
