Recipe by Katie Kadue, adapted from TylerFlorence.com
Ingredients
2 tablespoons dry white wine
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
4 large ripe fresh figs
4 thin slices prosciutto
Pepper to taste
Prepare a medium flame in a charcoal or gas grill.
In a small saucepan, combine the wine and honey. Stir over low heat just until the honey blends with the wine (do not allow to boil). Remove from heat and stir in the mustard.
Cut the figs into quarters. Thread four fig quarters and one slice of prosciutto on each of four skewers. Brush the figs and prosciutto with the honey-wine sauce and sprinkle each with pepper.
Place the skewers on a lightly oiled grill. Grill for 5-6 minutes, turning often and brushing with sauce. Serve hot.
