Are You Ready to Grumble?
Portland, Oregon, home to Gus Van Sant, Chuck Palahniuk, Sleater-Kinney, Matt Groening, a couple of Project Runway winners, soap box derby enthusiasts, mustache contest winners, burlesque and boylesque pin-ups, too many roses and waterfalls to count, hand-made bikes galore, hundreds of food trucks, more breweries per capita than any other city in the US, and a renowned, vibrant food scene, is clearly a magnet for creative talent. Early adopters of the farm-to-fork/table movement, Portland chefs have a reputation for preparing innovative, organic, locally-sourced food.
