I curiously opted for the simple deli. I had no idea what I was getting into, because I left feeling spoiled. Star Provisions greets you at two communal tables surrounded by trendy, culinary retail. It's like an intimate Dean & DeLuca. The store entices you to first walk around and shop, unless you are practically starving. I was so thrown off by their meat and cheese boutiques that I forgot I was here to actually get something to eat.
Food
The shop offers a wide variety of sandwiches in addition to tarts, pizza, salads, fritattas and some entree dishes, all reasonably priced. However, I do have to note their Banh Mi is questionably priced at $11, something I do plan to have next time to see if it is really worth the cost. I decided to go with their chicken sandwich which included some of the most savory, house cured bacon I ever tried. Everything tasted so fresh that I started to wonder if there's a garden on the roof! Star Provisions epitomizes the farm-to-table concept while generously sharing it with the Atlanta community.
Did it entice me to stay for dinner at one of their other restaurants? Well, let's put it this way: After overhearing others discussing when they will return for dinner, I could not resist making a reservation myself.
