| Located in downtown Medford, Jackson Creek Pizza is known as much for its specialty beer selection as it is for its great pizza at excellent prices. Tim Stone, the owner, goes out of his way to hunt down rare, specialty craft beers, and has made his bar pretty much the go-to place for hard-to-get IPAs and limited releases, such as Russian River Brewing Company's legendary Pliny the Elder and the much-lauded 30th Anniversary Stout from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
The atmosphere is relaxed and happy, with a great troupe of beer-loving regulars who whisper rumors of Tim's next keg to each other as the friendly, heavily tattooed staff pour their next pints. While their 17 craft beer taps are stocked with an excellent selection of IPAs, ask the bartender for a recommendation to go with your pizza and be prepared for a surprising sip of a brew you've perhaps never tasted before. Pizza prices range from $10 to $21 from their value menu, and $13 to $25 from their specialty menu. In addition, pizza by the slice is offered during lunch hours. A pint is typically $4, though some specialty beers may be priced higher. Happy Hour, when a pint of most craft beers may be had for under $3, is every afternoon from 3:30 to 5:30. Jackson Creek also offers free delivery--of pizza, that is, not beer. |
